I am blogging today on behalf of Cox Communications in partnership with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children to inform everyone about a very special webcast event coming up this Wednesday, July 23rd. Millions of tweens and teens surf the Internet every day, and they often know more about the Web than their parents, guardians and even teachers.

Last weekend MomsRising hosted a remarkable conversation. I do confess that I was deeply anxious about gathering a multi-dimensionally diverse group for conversation about the women’s movement of the 21st century at the Omega Institute.

Last week, in a heartless act of fiscal folly, the California Budget Conference Committee voted to increase red tape for children with Medi-Cal coverage by requiring families to re-enroll in the program every six months.

I will be hosting a moms caucus at the progressive Netroots Nation Convention in Austin, Texas this Thursday.
