MomsRising Members “Pin Down” Members of Congress!
MomsRising members have been hard at work trying to make sure that we get real healthcare reform and that it benefits all kids and families. Recently, we delivered pacifier lapel pins to the US Congress, and asked each legislator to wear these pins to show that like us, they will not be “pacified” until Congress delivers a healthcare reform plan that works for all children and families.
• MomsRising is inviting members of the U.S. Congress to show they are standing up for kids and families , by wearing these lapel pins and sending their photos to our website. Check out these great photos!
• Moms are powerful. MomsRising members sent over 15,000 letters and made hundreds of phone calls to Congress letting them know, “We are pinning our hopes on you because kids need healthcare too!”
You can take a moment now to send a letter to Congress.
The healthcare industry is spending 1.4 million dollars a day to lobby Congress. Make sure your voice is heard. Send a letter to Congress today to make sure that the needs of children and families are met in healthcare reform.
